In view of the paramount importance of the 6th Session of the OEIGWG on transnational corporations (TNCs) and other business enterprises with respect to human rights, the Webinar has been an opportunity to hear the proposals and reflections of several members of the European Parliament as well as Parliaments of Latin America, Asia and Africa debate on future joint initiatives. Parliaments have a legitimate and crucial role in the debate on the UN Binding Treaty on transnational corporations (TNCs) and other business enterprises with respect to human rights. From October 2017 to October 2019, more than 300 members of regional and national parliaments have endorsed the Call of People’s Representatives Worldwide for the UN Binding Treaty (https://bindingtreaty.org).
